Father and Son
There he is in all of his naked glory, screaming his head off for someone to love him, to hold him, to keep him safe. A Father’s love starts in the heart. From the moment you see his tiny face emerge, until the moment he leaves home. Love never fails. His big blues eyes set your heart racing. You look at his face; ‘he looks like me’ you say. You cannot believe this miracle, this child that has been given to you. The most precious gift you could ever ask for is in your arms. Looking up at you. Already loving you. You don’t have to ask to love him. You don’t have to grow to love him. For the last nine months without knowing, your love for him was already filling your heart, waiting to come out, waiting to leave a permeant mark inside your soul. Now when you look at him, you love him. Nothing will take him from you, and no one can take this passion you have for him. It is a little seed that is planted in your heart. The little seed grows month after month after month, until the ninth month; then you get to see your creation. Your work of art. That little piece of you. Perfect, and more beautiful than you ever imagined him. Your love is as strong and as beautiful as an Oak tree. Now he is yours. You feel like you have always loved him. A Father’s love can be described by few. It just exists in the heart of many. It can be touched by no one, but the Son himself. Oh to be loved like my Father loves me, a love that lasts eternally. No man can take it. No man can forget it. No Son will turn his back on it, and no Father will forget to love his Son. Don’t forget to show it. Don’t forget to say it. I love you Son.
